For the requestor

When a requestor wishes to increase the quantity and quality of the honswers they'll receive, they can allocate a prize to their request. 

Setting the prize characteristics

When creating/editing a request, the parameters of the prize are available in the Budget section. After checking the "Will you award a prize to the best answers? " checkbox, four parameters become available and required: 

Budget amount

This is the total amount that you'll spend for this sincquest (excluding platorms' commissions). This amount is debited from your credit card as soon as your request is published. This provides honswerers with the guarantee that the budgeted amount will eventually be distributed.

Individual award amount

Your prizes budget can be distributed among multiple recipients. The minimum value that each will receive is defined here. 

Minimum number of awards

Prize availability

This is the number of days within which the prizes engaged have to be awarded. The longer the period, the higher the number of honswers you might get. Once this delay is reached, the remaining amount of your budget is automatically distributed to honswers, based on the average rating you've given them.

Once funded, the prize characteristics may not be changed. And their status is updated constantly and communicated to potential honswerers when they access an honswer, as a way to transparently show them what they can expect if they provide a good honswer. 

Funding the request

The amount for the prize (plus platform commission of 15%) is charged to your credit card and held by Stripe (minus Honswer's commission) until the prize money has been distributed. 

Distributing the rewards

The requestor may distribute part of the prize at their discretion among the honswers they've received before the request's award final distribution date and as long as the distribution complies with the characteristics defined above and the recipient was logged in to an account when they created their honswer.

Prize completion

When the request's award final distribution date is reached, the remainder of the prize money is distributed among rated honswers sorted by their average rating score until the minimum number of awards is reached. If the request doesn't have enough rated honswers to reach the minimum number of awards, then what's left is returned to the requestor.  

For honswerers

The characteristics of a request's prize are constantly updated on the request's card. This allows honswerers to know the conditions of the awards they may compete for. 

Answering to a prized request

Providing an honswer to a prized request is 100% similar to doing it for a regular request.

Collecting the award

If an honswer has been awarded a prize, its honswerer will be informed by e-mail accordingly. If they've already created their Stripe Connect account through Honswer, then the money will automatically be delivered to this account, where they'll be able to withdraw it through one of the methods provided by Stripe in their country. 

If no Stripe Connect account has been linked to the honswerer's account, then an e-mail will inform them, prompting them to do so. After completion of this step, the payout should be sent to the Stripe Connect account within 2 to 5 days.
